A Beautiful Peaceful Week on Bardsey Island off the North Wales Coast

I have just returned from a retreat on Bardsey Island known in Wales as Ynys Enlli.  There is no electric, no running water (wells), no phone or broadband signal and no cars - so no stress just the place for beautiful, magnificent photographs!!

An Exploration of the Rhinog Area of Snowdonia

Last week I visited this magnificent area that time has forgotten as the beginning of my MA Project on the marks left behind by man through the ages.

Jean has been accepted on the MA in Fine Art at Aberystwyth starting in September.  Her project is the Rhinog area of North Wales, a wild place where less people live now than any time in human history.  She will be documenting 'marks' left by man over the centuries - a project that will take over three years.

It captures the effects on the coast of North Wales of the sea over different aspects of time.  From the short term as in marks made in the sand; secondly, shaping and carving wooden structures and finally the longterm softening and rounding of the rocks
